I am a passionate and highly skilled dentist driven by my desire to provide excellent care to my patients; old and new! I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2008 after winning several academic and clinical prizes at Undergraduate level. These include the Thomas H Bickerton Prize in Anatomy and Physiology, the Dental Alumni Association Prize and the 3M Unitek Prize in Orthodontics.
Since qualification, I have worked as a General Dental Practitioner in Liverpool developing a particular interest in Restorative and Implant Dentistry. I am incredibly driven to provide exceptional, lifelong care for all of my patients and I am committed to the continuous nature of learning, studying and acquiring the most up-to-date knowledge in the evolving field of dentistry.

How long will the implants last?
Implants are a very predictable treatment option. They have good long term success rates but require regular care and maintenance to ensure they remain healthy for as long as possible.
Do dental implants hurt?
Implants are generally placed under local anaesthetic. Once numb treatment is carried out with the very minimum of discomfort.
Are implants difficult to clean?
No, your dentist will show you how to clean any hard to reach areas around the implant. But you’ll mostly clean them as you would your normal teeth.
Are dental implants expensive?
Dental implants are designed to provide a long term solution to your gap(s). They require less frequent replacement than other solutions such as dentures or bridgework, making them an overall cost-effective solution to replace a missing tooth (teeth).

I have always maintained a strong interest in Restorative Dentistry and a desire to restore teeth to their natural function wherever possible.
My interest in Implant Dentistry has secured my decision to study for a Masters Degree in Implantology through the University of Salford. I look forward to deepening my knowledge in this area and using this directly when treating my patients.
Other Postgraduate Training includes study in the field of Orthodontics. The teeth-straightening systems I have become familiar with, including Invisalign, allow me an in-depth knowledge of aligning patients’ teeth.
I am proud to use my own knowledge and skills to help with the training of newly qualified Dentists as an Educational Supervisor. I have completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Clinical Practice with Edge Hill University. I was delighted to be awarded the title of Educational Supervisor of the Year 2018/2019 for the Northwest Region. I have also used my skills to help train undergraduate Dentists as a Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Liverpool Dental School.
I take an active role in improving dental services across our local region. I am a member of the Liverpool Local Dental Committee and I am the General Dental Practitioner Representative on the Local Dental Network and the Managed Clinical Network for Oral Surgery in Cheshire and Merseyside.
My passion for passing on my knowledge of dentistry has led me to be involved in promoting good oral health via both TV and radio outlets. I have featured in National TV adverts for Sensodyne; lectured on behalf of Colgate, and featured on ITV Granada Reports and BBC Radio Merseyside. Some of these features have focused upon my work with local schools.
My ethos within dentistry is one based upon prevention via education and installing good oral health regimes from an early age. These beliefs have led me to visit numerous school and nursery settings in Liverpool where I have been able to share knowledge, answer questions and hopefully inspire some future dentists!

Keeping fit is really important to me and I enjoy going the gym, cycling and running, having completed the Liverpool Marathon in 2012 and London Marathon in 2017.
